Throw Back Thursday

Just if you didn't know my husband is probably the best husband in the world. Rick is SOOO great at remembering important dates and making me feel loved :) Today was the day we got engaged 5 years ago! I didn't remember... as usual and Rick did... as usual!

Well after I got home from work Rick took me on a little adventure! We got some take out and started driving towards Draper. It wasn't until about this time I started to get a clue (previously I had just thought Rick was just being his cute little self!) as we pulled up to the "Draper Dome" I remembered what happened on this special day 5 years ago!

It was perfect! The night we got engaged there was the prettiest sunset and tonight nature gave us the same ambiance! Rick wrote me the sweetest note and sang me our first dance song while spinning me around as the sun went down. I seriously feel so blessed to be married for eternity to this man!

Lucky 13

In Hawaii we had a favorite burger place that was to die for good! Oh and the fries and fry sauce...mmm...I am afraid we went there more than I would like to admit! (If you are ever in Laie go to 7 brothers you will not regret it!) Well ever since we moved back to Utah we have been on the hunt for something that could even compare.

Well ladies and Gents I am proud to announce that we have found the Utah equivalent! Thanks to a fellow blogger we went and tried Lucky 13. FYI...It is a bar so you will need to be 21 and prepared to bring your ID. I got the Celestial burger & garlic rosemary fries! Homemade bun+amazing sauce+seasoned fries= life changing!

The moment that was so randomly perfect and magical!

Today was my last day of work. I have been working hard the last week training my replacement and getting everything ready for us to move. With all the stress and lack of sleep Rick and I were not feeling that great. We decided that we needed some veggies & fruit so we got ready to run to foodland. However my RA was on her way to grab the on call phones from me so we had to wait. Rick suggested we wait in the hale parking lot and breath some fresh air... people this is when the magic started to happen.
In the quite (for this time of day) parking lot we stood when it started to sprinkle. Because Rick knows how much I love to dance in the rain he asked me to dance! Just wait it gets better... after a couple minutes I started to notice two cars at the end of the parking lot. It looked like one of them was buying speakers from the other and as Rick twirled me around I forgot about it... until the speakers started blasting some smooth R&B! I started laughing and turning red and Rick continued to dance with me! Just wait it gets better... last but not least as the sun was setting it created the most beautiful double rainbow over our hale!
Oh goodness Hawaii you make it hard to leave!

My Best Friend

Having a graduated husband is seriously heaven on earth! We have been able to spend more time together in the last month than in the last 2 years I swear! This is just some of what we have been up to...

Movie nights every night! For this one we made pina coladas yum yumm!
Falling to sleep together and waking up together! It is so many of the small things you miss when your life is so crazy! No longer is Rick staying up till 1am doing homework or waking up at 5am to do study! I have cherished and loved falling asleep and waking up in his arms every day!
Taking long walks on the beach to discuss life and the future! I am confidant as long as I have this amazing man by my side I will always be happy and that is all that matters!

Sharing our favorite drinks, discovering hidden treasures on Oahu, and laughing till we can no longer breath!
Going on randomly fun date nights! We went to Dave and Busters, played arcade games, and won Laffy Taffy and a head massager haha!
This man makes me laugh harder and fills my world with more joy and peace than I could have ever imagined! He is my absolute everything, my best friend, and just in case you were wondering the best hugger in the world!

Sharks Cove

Of course we would wait until our last month to try snorkeling at sharks cove! Anytime we wanted to go snorkeling we would make the trek to Hanama Bay because we just thought sharks cove would be too rocky and crowded. Well it was rocky and crowded but also AMAZING!

We saw all the same fish that we have seen at Hanama plus some! It is also huge...Most people do not know that you can go beyond the little cove off to your right and see even more fish in deeper even bluer waters! Seriously so amazing!
Make sure to take some snacks and reading material... once you get out a ways it can feel like you are going no where and can wear you out :) Rick may have spent the rest of the day out swimming with the fishes and I read up on magazines! All in all it was an wonderful experience and we really enjoyed it!

Cinco De Mayo

Oh Cinco De Mayo... how we love thee! Rick and I love to make Mexican food together not to mention eat it! This year we invited over some friends, made some Garlic Lime Fajitas, homemade salsa, and guacamole! I had a lot of requests for my homemade salsa recipe so here it is:
