Spring Fever

Valentines has always been one of my favorite holidays so I had fun decorating this year. But I woke up yesterday and looked around the house and saw pink and red everywhere.  I love pink.... Like really love pink....Like the walls in my "single days" room, all pink! So when I blurted out "I'm soooo sick of pink." Rick just kind of laughed and gave me the look that seemed to say "that will last for about  3 seconds haha."
So yesterday I had the spring fever decorating bug and decided it was time for a fresh new look!

For my Apothecary Jar I used Lemons I found at the dollar store, Foam balls covered in felt ruffles (find the tutorial Here) and then added some ribbon to the top!

I found these lovely blossmes at the dollar store as well. Can you say score! I just snipped them from the stem and placed them into the cage. I love the look of the branches sticking out.

For the spring sign I used a little 8x8 canvas (also found at the dollar store) and wrapped some fabric I have been saving around it, and hot glued, then just cut a 6x6 piece of paper and glued it to the fabric.
After that was all done I took some foam letters and spelt out spring. The flower is an Idea I took from This lovely blog!

So this is what it looks like all together... Makes me feel so happy!

So the cost of everything:

-Lemons: $5
-Felt:        $0.30
-Ribbon:  Free (already had)

Paper:      $0.65

Hows that for cheep newly wed decorating!
I still have one more thing to add......
