Workin It Wednesday

{Turkey Burgers}


This is a recipe I found on a friends blog. It looked so yummy we had to try it, and we are glad we did!
You could grill em, fry em, whatever you like! No matter what you do they will be yummy to your tummy!


  • 1-1/2 pounds ground turkey (I used 7% fat)
  • 2 tablespoons seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons finely diced onion
  • 1 egg whites, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 clove garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions
-In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, seasoned bread crumbs, onion, egg whites (I used the whole egg, only because the yolk helps the turkey hold together much better on the grill), parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into 6 patties.
-Serve with Swiss cheese, green leaf lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, and homemade guacamole. (2 avocados mashed up, add a squeeze of lime, a dash of salt and a couple tablespoons of diced tomatoes.)
