You know how some people have dreams that they go back to High School and are naked?
Well.... I kind of have dreams like that, exept the naked part.
It seems like every time a big change happens in my life I dream about the situation and all the sudden in a panic I relize I do not have shoes on.
No shoes... anywhere...
Before my first week of college I drempt I got ready for classes, drove to school, was there early, sat in my car and listened to music, triple checked my supplies, Books:check, Pencils: check, Extra Erasers... Notebooks...Calculator... Package of Band aids ( you know in case of a catastrophic paper cut!) Check, Check, Check! Its five minutes till class will start.
I grab my things and then all the sudden relize I have no shoes on!
Decision making time. Do I go home and grab shoes... but be late to class? Or do I just go right on in and hope no one notices that I am bare foot?
The stress of "the decision" forces me to wake up.
The night before Rick and I got sealed I drempt we were at the temple getting married. We kneel at the alter and a GASP fills the room. Upon kneeling my dress shows my feet, which bare no shoes! I am embarassed beyond belief.... and wake up :)
Last night I had a new version of this dream.
Rick and I were on the airplane to Hawaii. Everything is going perfect. I watch through the tiny airplane window, the Delta workers load our luggage(I know it is ours because it is polka dot :). We take off, Rick and I talk about how excited we are, the plane lands, and we prepare to get off. As we enter the terminal a little boy yells at me "why aren't you wearing any shoes?" Everyone is looking at me even Rick. I try to whisper to him that I do have shoes on. My fellow passengers start to laugh and then I get so overwhelemed I start to scream " I do have shoes on... they are just naked colored!!!"
que being awake.
I just have one question... Why shoes?
Don't know why shoes but it might help you to know that shoes aren't required in Hawaii. I grew up there and used to run around at recess with no shoes. Slippas are the main "shoe" there and at the beach barefoot is in. So perhaps it just means you are meant to be living in Hawaii for a long time to come. You will fit right in!
