Yesterday was the first day that it actually felt like the christmas season and it was all because of these beautiful lights!
This christmas is so different for us... last year the whole month was full of christmas centered activities; this year a whole month full of packing. Last year we were very content about being in utah; this year I just can't even wait to get to Hawaii and start a new chapter of our lives. Last year I spent months planning christmas surprises for Rick ; this year we are only doing things we need for Hawaii, so no surprises, only stockings!
It is different but I like it! While sipping hot chocolate and driving around looking at wonderful salt lake city, We realized we have not even had a chance to get caught up in the worldly side of christmas and that has given us a whole new perspective of things. Though this christmas season has sped by, we still made an effort to focus on christ. We have read about him, pondered his life, watched movies about his birth, and filled our home with songs about him.
We are happy.
Full of everlasting love and joy.
And no matter what the world says, no amount of ribbons and bows can bring you that!
