June Third was our 3rd anniversary! Rick asked if he could plan this anniversary since it will be the last we spend here while we live in Hawaii... so of course I said yes!
It started out with a breakfast and note in bed! The note was all lovey and cheesy and said that we had to get ready for the beach!
We left around 10 and got to Waimea (our very favorite beach) and as soon as we got there I knew the day was going to be absolutely wonderful because if you have been to Waimea you know parking is insane and we got a parking spot in the parking lot right as we pulled in! We spent the morning laying out, swimming in the beautiful turquoise water, and just relaxing! Around 1:30 as I was just laying on my towel rick turned to me and said " I hear that there are buried messages in the sand around here!" Ha I just started laughing because I didn't even know how Rick would have buried a note for me in the sand without me noticing! Well after about 5 minutes of me looking around and eventually with the help of Rick I found it :)
My buried treasure note told me that we had to leave the wonderful beach and head home to get ready for our fancy dinner cruise down in Honolulu! Truth be told I was a little skeptical about this dinner cruise. If you have seen the "Booze Cruise" episode of the office you can picture what I was imagining, but I am very happy to say that it was nothing like that and it was seriously SO fun!
We drove down the docks in Honolulu and boarded the cruise ship. When we got on board we had a captain's reception and met the captain of the ship and had non-alcoholic champagne (haha aka Martinelli's) after that we were seated at our table. The ship left the harbor and went far out so we could see all of Honolulu and then up close to diamond head! It was so neat to be able to see such a different view of our pretty little island!
Our dinner was a 7 course french style dinner! It was so fun to feel so fancy! We ordered virgin tropical drinks, ate food that looked too pretty to eat, and even tried caviar!
After dinner we went out on the deck and watched the sunset out over the ocean it was so pretty and romantic... but the romance did not stop there! After the sun set then the dancing started! The piano player played our first dance song and I may or may not have just started crying of happiness! Ha some little Asian lady just smiled and "ahhed" at me haha so then I started just giggling because every time I faced her when we were dancing she would just point and tap her significant other on the shoulder haha!
It was a beyond than perfect anniversary and I feel so lucky to be married to my best friend who makes me feel like a princess! I told Rick that he can plan every anniversary if he so wishes!
