A side of faith: Part two

If you missed Part one of this post check the previous post!
So our story resumes...

You see it had all started with a little thought planted in Alicia's Brain from her mother. The day Rick applied to BYUH Rick and Alicia started to look for somewhere to live on the tiny Island. Once they realized they would not be able to get into Married Student housing right away and everywhere else was 1000 a month or more, they asked Alicia's parents if they had any solutions. (being Alicia was born on Oahu while her parents attended BYUH) Alicia's mom and dad called friends but with no luck. At dinner one Sunday Alicia's Mom said "you know we had friends that were dorm parents... maybe you could do that!?!" To which Rick and Alicia laughed and replied "uh maybe."

Fast forward to when Alicia hung up the phone.... Being a dorm parent aka the official term being Hale Coordinator hit her with full force. Consumed her every thought. Before It had popped into her mind now and then but right then she knew she had to find out more about the position. So after some searching of school bulletins and emails, Alicia found out who to contact and emailed them that same day. About two hours later she received an email that stated her email had been forwarded to the head of housing but also included a link to the current Hale Coordinators blog, so Alicia could get more insight as to what a Hale Coordinators life is like. The next day the head of housing emailed Alicia back and told her that there was going to be an opening for a Hale Coordinator and to check for the listing that Thursday.

While Alicia waited for thursday she read the current Hale Coordinators blog. As she read a desire began to grow... she wanted this job more than anything. It felt so perfect. She realized that it was not only going to solve the employment Issue but also give her the opportunity to touch others lives. A chance to do something worthwhile!
Thursday came....
Alicia applied....
Now begins the waiting game.

Yesterday I faxed my application/ resume/ bishops endorsement and got an email that they received all the paperwork. The only down side... in the email they said it might take a few weeks for someone to contact me due to the lengthy review process. I feel happy and positive about my chances. So what can you do? Pray that it all works out for the best and I can hear back soon, because while I have faith that everything happens for a reason I am still working on my patience :)
