A home away from home

Okay Im going to be 100% honest and just start out by saying... This sucks.
Everything and I mean Everything has gone wrong.
From our house being infested by thousands of cockroaches to finding a car we have not had very much luck.
I am just happy for two things.
#1 Rick- has been so great. He has held me while i cried, gave me blessings, and been able to make the worst situations funny.
#2 The gospel- I am happy that we were able to go to church today and here testimonies of people that have and are going through a lot of what we have been dealing with. While sitting at the temple I had this scripture come to my mind :
" Be strong and of a good courage: be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed for the lord thy God (will be) with thee whithersoever thou goest." Joshua 1:9
I'm so grateful that even though  I am an ocean away from everything that feels familiar and comfortable, one thing is and always will be the same. I am grateful for the peace I have felt and the knowledge that my heavenly father is aware and cares about us.

Tonight we went to a meeting at BYUH and this man came up to us and talked to us for a while and told us about a discounted bus pass for students that we can get. So hopefully that will solve our transportation problems at the moment... He also told us we can get me a spouse card for BYUH. So even though I am not a student I will still be able to get into the library and pretty much act like a student without really being one!
So hopefully everything will only go up from here! Pray for us and hopefully I will have an exciting blog post to do soon!

ALOHA!

  1. All the crap is just a sign that you are right where you are supposed to be! Hang in there, we will be praying for you!

  2. Things can only get better! When Derron and I lived in a cockroach infested apartment, we would get up in the middle of the night with a flashlight and a fly swatter and slap away at those ugly bugs. We also used roach hotels. They are fast little buggers!
