Saturday we were long over due for a beach day. We got everything ready to spend the whole day at the beach until sundown. As we started getting closer to Sunset beach we noticed lots of puddles all over the road. We were worried at first but it was sunny with just some little white clouds so we thought we had missed the storm! Haha well little did we know about every 20 minutes it would start to rain for a good 5 minutes and then quickly look like nothing had happened. It was quite the routine of grabbing all our stuff, running to the car, and then setting back up again. After the third downpour we decided to go to Haleiwa for some lunch and play tourist a bit. When we got bored of Haleiwa we decided to give Sunset beach one more chance... and we were so happy we did!
As we sat their relaxing in the warm sun I looked up at just the right moment and saw a huge blue whale jump out of the water! For a good 10 minutes we watched the whales splash and swim around! It has been on my bucket list to see whales in Hawaii and it finally happened! We were not able to get any pictures because we did not bring our good camera :( Dont worry though I have it memorized in my mind and will happily tell you all about it!
