If you had asked me a week ago if I would like to see a Gecko in our house, I would have said "ewe NO."
Today.... HOORAY!
Want to know what geckos mean? They mean you have a clean house. They mean no more mosquitoes biting your face while you sleep... no more huge cockroaches running across the floor when you turn on a light, because they eat bugs!
I never thought I would be so happy to see one of these!
On the subject of our house... Here she is!
300 square feet never felt so good! We are almost done moving in, right now it is still kind of a mess inside so I will post pictures later! But after almost two weeks of being here we finally have somewhere to call home! And that feels really good! One time Sarah (Kieran and Conor's mommy) and I were talking... she told me "there is a kind of pride that comes from sitting in your first place, with your tv on a wooden crate. Its not the cutest but it is yours!" I have always remembered that and wondered what it would feel like one day.
Well tonight after a day of unpacking we made dinner.... And then realized we didn't have any dinning chairs, or a real table for that matter. So we used the desk and two of our suitcases for chairs. As I looked at the funny little scene I felt happy. Right now our house does not look like it came out of a page of a magazine, but we laughed as we sucked in our spaghetti noodles and felt happy about what we had.
Aloha and Goodnight!
That house looks very different from the beach house with a view and a deck you posted a while back about. Is this a temporary house? Love the gecko! We have a pet leopard gecko that eats crickets we buy at the petstore. And they (the crickets) chirp all night!
ReplyDeleteGlad they are mostly gone. eww. Did you have to buy the gecko or just open the door long enough to let one wander in?
ReplyDeleteI will anxiously await a tour of the whole palace, I mean place :)
